Facebook announced that in the upcoming year a new independent oversight body will be made available for people to appeal against content management decisions. According to Mark Zuckerberg, this body  '[will] uphold the principle of giving people a voice while also recognizing the reality of keeping people safe'. The composition of this body as well as its working mechanisms are still under discussion.
