World Bank allocates USD 200 million for digital economy in Ethiopia

 In order to support digital transformation in Ethiopia, the World Bank has announced that it will allocate US$200 million. The loan will be provided as part of the 'Digital Ethiopia Foundations' project that is particularly focused on the digital economy, including the fields of e-commerce and digital identification. The development of digital government services will also be addressed by the 'Digital Ethiopia Foundations' initiative, which is part of the Digital Ethiopia 2025 strategy.
