The US Patent and Trademark Office announced that its intellectual property (IP) attach¨¦s in India, Mexico, China, and Belgium (US mission to the European Union) have been elevated to the diplomatic rank of "Counselor" at the U.S. embassies and missions where they serve. The IP attach¨¦s and counselors advocate for the benefit of US stakeholders to improve policies, laws, and regulations that protect IP abroad.
