The US Justice Department indicted a Ukrainian national and seized US$6.1 million in funds traceable to alleged ransom payments received by a Russian national. Both persons are believed to be part of the REvil group, responsible for the ransomware attack on the IT firm Kaseya.

'Our message to ransomware criminals is clear: If you target victims here, we will target you,' the US Deputy Attorney General said.
