Uganda has launched a national e-waste management centre to address adverse environmental and security risks posed by the growing number of discarded electronics. The centre will be the main e-waste management facility in the country and will ensure safe and sustainable management of e-waste. The centre should eventually be responsible for the refurbishment and recycling of old electronics.
