India has released a new model law on online taxation. According to the model Goods and Services Tax law, approved by the Indian Finance Minister, all online purchases will attract a uniform tax. The tax is likely to be implemented in April 2017 and will target the first point of financial transaction. The law is currently open to comments from stakeholders.
