Publish Time: 02 Jun, 2024
The European Union has issued new guidelines on the sharing economy, aimed at reaping the benefits of the new business models, and addressing concerns over the uncertainty of rights and obligations arising from the sector. The non-binding guidelines, published as a Communication on A European agenda for the collaborative economy, cover ways in which existing EU law should be applied to the collaborative economy, and aim to clarify legal, economic, and labour-related issues.
