Cisco Comply-to-Connect (C2C) Training Now Supports Third-Party Integrations
Publish Time: 08 Sep, 2025

Cisco Comply-to-Connect (C2C) training, first released in October 2024 by Learn with Cisco, is designed around the Department of Defense (DoD) C2C Zero Trust capability pillars and Cisco Security solutions. Cisco has updated this training to address challenges in deploying C2C solutions in mixed-vendor environments by including third-party product integrations, such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Tenable, and Trellix.

Key points about the updated Cisco C2C training include:

  • Training Delivery: Available as both instructor-led courses through Cisco Learning Partners and as e-learning on Cisco U. Both formats include labs, with the e-learning also featuring videos to provide instruction and hands-on skills.
  • Training Content: Covers Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and its alignment with DoD C2C requirements. The training consists of six tracks covering topics from 802.1X fundamentals to ISE Profiler and Endpoint Compliance, including specific C2C use cases and third-party integrations.
  • Third-Party Integrations:
    • Microsoft MECM: Demonstrates how endpoint compliance data from MECM can influence access control decisions in Cisco ISE.
    • Tenable: Integrates vulnerability information to influence ISE access control.
    • Trellix: Enables ISE to use Trellix data for endpoint compliance validation during access control evaluation.
  • Cisco's Commitment: This update is part of Cisco's phased approach to support DoD's Zero Trust journey, helping customers deploy Cisco solutions and integrate them with other vendors. Future updates will include reporting solutions for C2C.
  • Course Outline and Labs: The training includes configuring Cisco ISE, integrating with Active Directory, policy configuration, compliance services, profiling, and troubleshooting, among others.

This comprehensive training supports DoD agencies and contractors in deploying and managing C2C solutions aligned with Zero Trust principles, ensuring endpoint compliance and secure network access in complex environments with mixed vendor products.
