We tested this mini PC in September 2025 and found it to have surprising under-the-hood performance, handling the local large language model (LLM) we installed quite well. It runs an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor for 80 TOPS of AI performance, local LLM deployment, and advanced content generation.
Geekom advertises the mini PC as a flagship AI workstation, enabling everything from large enterprise models to 8K video editing and 3D rendering. It's certainly a powerful device, as it comes with 32GB of DDR5 RAM, expandable up to 128GB. The mini PC is also equipped with dual PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSDs for up to 8TB of expandable storage.
There's a full spread of I/O, with two HDMI ports, four USB-A ports along the front, two Ethernet ports, and USB-C ports on the back. On the desk, this little device takes up almost no space, completely changing the dynamic of a typical desktop workstation.

One thing to keep in mind, however, is that the Geekom A9 Max
comes with an integrated GPU that might leave it short in comparisons with other high-end models. However, this device is still heavily armed for the price. For creators, designers, or AI users, this tiny PC is a powerhouse.
